How the 30% Roblox marketplace fee works
Since April 2020 Roblox unifies the marketplace fee at 30% for both Game Passes and Developer Products. List a 100 R$ pass: Roblox keeps 30 R$, you receive 70 R$ net. The 18+ DevEx rate boost (June 8, 2026) does not change this floor — it only raises the USD per Robux on cash-out.
Roblox tax FAQ
- Does Roblox take 30% from gamepasses?
- Yes. Since April 2, 2020, Roblox applies a unified 30% marketplace fee to Game Passes and Developer Products. You keep 70% of every sale, rounded down.
- How do I calculate Robux after tax?
- Multiply the list price by 0.70 and floor the result. Example: 100 R$ × 0.70 = 70 R$ net. For a target net, divide the desired net by 0.70 and ceil it.
- Is there a way to pay less than 30%?
- No. The 30% rate is enforced by Roblox and applies to all standard marketplace sales. Some affiliate programs offer adjusted splits, but those are not relevant for ordinary gamepass or dev product sales.
- What's the minimum gamepass price?
- 1 Robux. Promotional bonuses only apply to passes priced between 50 R$ and 800 R$.
- Does this calculator account for the new 18+ DevEx rate?
- Not directly. The 30% marketplace fee on gamepasses is unchanged. For 18+ DevEx cash-out conversions, see our DevEx Calculator and 18+ Eligibility Checker.
